Nokia Email Beta: Second Chance

I am sitting here right now in my living room after being inspired to write after doing something quite unexpected. Upon reading again about the newly unveiled N97 device from Nokia, I came across an article speaking of upgrades to the Nokia Email service soon to be called Nokia Messaging. Still on a high from acquiring my new white Nokia E71, I decided to give the service another try while it currently remains in the beta stage. My previous experience with it was short-lived after I discovered a glitch, but I am hopeful for a definite change this time around.

I shall first compose this post, send it to my blog and then check the Sent folder. The glitch from before was that this folder was not being populated even after numerous emails had been completed from my E71. My fingers are crossed this time around and I hope that I haven't deleted my mailbox in the original Messaging application for nothing.

UPDATE: I have checked the Sent folder and to my dismay it has not updated itself properly even after I had sent this post and resynced the Inbox. No matter how much I would like to make a speedy choice and forsake this beta app, I will at least give it a week or two to see how it will fare next to the default Messaging I had always been accustomed to. If I find it to be more efficient to use in terms of interface I may just decide to keep it, after all the Sent folder in my online Gmail account still works as it should...even for this post I had sent.

TRENT
Sent from my Nokia E71
