I have already gone through two deletions and reinstalls of this application with my E71, and am at a loss as to what the solution is. Honestly, I am considering the possibility of completely removing Nokia Email and relying solely on the Messaging folder for any future correspondence. This seems to be much easier than trying to adopt a third party app for email support. I have been told of Profimail and have heard of it, but I don't know if it would be worth all of the hassle.
Is my E71 in need of a firmware update or a hard reset? I have no idea. But I do no know that I will do all that I can to not resort to using my backup Treo 750 again.

Hi Trent. I had similar issues with my Mail app after updating. Sending was fine but nothing received.
I found out that the problem was with the access point. Thw e-mail app used whichever connection I had active at the time of install (wi-fi) and set this as my default so whenever I was out of my wi-fi hotspot I had no synce. Not sure if this is the same issue you are having but it's worth while checking your access point.
Open up the Mail App
Go to settings > General
Go to 'Service Info' and select access point. You are then able to select which access point you want to use. I set mine to my 3G access point and voila. . .all perfectly up and running again.
Give it a go. . .

you could update S60 on your phone. Its the version on AT&T's Nokia E71x. It finally made it. It launched at CTIA today in all black for $99 on contract.

Thanks for the help, but my access had already been set to the AT&T network data. Wi-fi was never used for an access point.
As much as the past few hours had been free of problems, I am sad to say that the Nokia Email app has gone unresponsive again.
Thats a hell of a shame. I couldn't stand using the standard mail client. I have no idea whatsoever of what else you could try. Hope you get it sorted or that it fixes itself. I was gutted when it played up on me the other night

Bought my new e72, i set up my email account then its working properly but i accidentally deleted it, now i cannot set up new email accounts its just keeps on validating my email account.. what should i do guys? please advice thanks!
